Once again, AECT will host its annual convention at our neighborhood - Jacksonville, FL. ISD@FSU40 Conference Kicked off Tonight with the IS Award Ceremony

Every spring the IS program has an award ceremony and recognizes some of our most high achieving students in different categories. To win one of these awards is a very special honor. This year, we held this special and lovely event at FSU alumni center (Wednesday evening, April 23), which also kicked off the ISD@FSU40 Alumni Conference (April 24 and 25). Welcome back alums, and congratulations to the awards finalists and winners!

Dr. Shute Received Foundation Grants to Design and Test an Instructional Game

Congratulations! Dr. Valirie Shute, along with her project team, has recently received foundation grants to support their research endeavors.  Dr. Shute received a one year $111,000 grant from the GlassLab (a consortium of the Institute of Play + ETS + Electronic Arts) to design and test a 3-D adventure game for students in grades 6-7 to measure and support their problem solving skills using stealth assessment.

Dr. Shute is known for her patented assessment method: Stealth Assessment. In the recent years, she has published various research articles and book/book chapters in examining learning behaviors in games. Click here to find out more about her current research endeavors.
